Acting like a stranger…flirting hard with danger…baby born in manger came to rescue you…and ME. Never had a backbone, in the status “all alone” scared to touch the unknown – don’t deny, you know it’s true – but baby born in manger came to rescue you.

A man who knew no sin, becoming the example, touching all the souls society sought to trample – removing judgment stamps from frazzled – lonely, beings – and if that wasn’t enough – a raging wind — blew out the candle – of His life…

Yet the man the cross once bore, yes the one who knew no sin, love personified in skin – can touch within and HEAL all hurts now caving in – on you, make you brand new – shiny penny bright, drawing the light – REDEMPTION’S SONG

“The Little King”

I had the wonderful opportunity to take part in a play called “The Little King” this month. What an awesome experience!

The vivid displays of color, artfully painted faces, inventive and visually appealing costumes, laughter and fun, all served to make more palatable the anti-bullying message woven into the cleverly written dramatic piece.

A cute little red bumble bee and a timid gray mouse with the face of an angel darted in and out among the butterfly winged dancers. Royal blue, gold and primal shades glided across the stage as tigresses, lionesses and other animals of the jungle produced graceful movements to the sounds of Africa.

…and there I was all dressed in white – with irridescent glitters casting hues – and on my head a Crown, fringed with white feathers - framed by sliver glitters, singing “There is A King In You”. The second act opened with “Live Right” – after all that was the message – oh so relevant today.

A royal affair – that’s how it felt…and I am richer for it.

Musically Inclined…

…so I’m taking guitar lessons. My dad plays and so do my brothers. George Benson, Earl Klugh and many others – woke me up, took me through my days, put me to sleep. I don’t have a favorite instrument; I love so many musical sounds – but the one I have always wanted to play is - yes, the acoustic guitar. I can almost taste the sounds. So far I’ve been working on notes. I can do basic sight reading and I’m practicing 4 basic chords right now… I can’t WAIT to make real music on that thang… lol

Starting Off With A Bang…

I am filled with much expectation going into the year 2011. Year in review? I made it….I made it this far. As I reflect throughout this week, I can see God’s hand in all I experienced/endured/celebrated in 2010. I have grown tremendously – and learned. I made connections with awesome people and I have treasured every step of the journey. 2011 here I come. Thank you Daddy God!
