I have never been fought soooo hard on the production of 1 song.. NEVER. LOL. I am now declaring the release of my new single “Live Right” in March 2010.
To update you on what’s happened since my last blog. The Producer successfully received the tracks, but we couldn’t use them… lo-oonng story. Anyway, I went back into the studio and (vocally) got an even better sound than before. You know sometimes when things don’t work out the first time, it’s so you can get something even better… that means this is going to be exceptionally special…

So I went into the studio last week to record the vocals for my soon to be released single, “Live Right” and as we were going through the recording process unusual things started happening… The program suddenly started malfunctioning – something the engineer was flabbergasted about because he’d never encountered it before. I completed an entire take of the song, which I thought was pretty good and as it was being saved, it went poof… never to be seen again. The take after that was stopped mid-point… and I have to tell you – I started laughing… after all, the recording process scheduled for the week before that saw obstacles too… everyone, including the engineer showed up at the studio… EVERYONE (me, the background singers, the engineer) all sick… what are the chances? We had other interruptions throughout the session, both during the recording and prepping the wav files for submission to the producer… BUT I expected obstacles and was prepared to do whatever was required to push through, go around, jump over… whatever…
Needless to say, the recording was successfully completed, the files were prepared and submitted. I listened to the preliminary mix last night and I am extremely excited.

Preparing myself for a studio session tomorrow and really asking God to be THE director in this process… as always, I am looking for not only His message, but also His sound. Lord, I am available to you. Use me.
